The Kingdom of Tyrgere. The place Bane could have called his home two years ago, or perhaps, his almost home.
If it weren't for the war, he might have ended up living more inland of the kingdom versus the small area bordering it. However, things changed and the odds were not in Bane's favor when the invaders decided to run out the 'peasants'.
As the young man thought about it, the more he grimaced. Bad memories was really the only thing this part of the world held for him. Besides, right now he wasn't supposed to be reminicing- he was supposed to be scouting. Or as he liked to call it 'spying on the neighbors'. It wasn't a dull job, oh no. It was quite enjoyable when one did it in the right manner. First and foremost- always take on an alias. For Bane, it would be whatever name he could come up with off the top of his head if he were to meet someone along his travels. Then after that, it was a little thing called gathering Intel.
It was what his assignment was of course, he didn't choose it- it just came to him. In a form of a letter really. Quite sudden to! Bane could not afford to skip this certain job however, or else he'd get a dozen. And those were painful, he could only persuade the high ranking military official so many times before the old man caught on- or woman, it was really hard to tell in Bane's opinion.
But here he was, in Tyrgere, a member of Ombra come across via merchant ship to gather whatever information he could of recent events the Kingdom had been going through the past few weeks. It was such a big job for one scout to do! Though their could be other scouts around Bane could guess. Were they from Ombra? No telling there.
Bane was currently sitting atop a grassy hill in his animal form. His fox ears were angled in every which direction sound came by and his eyes were focused on the only thing he really cared about at the moment. A steep, shadowed ditch that stretched for however many miles in either direction. It was the thing blocking his path from the one destination he really needed to be. Their was only so much information he could get from the regulars of Tyrgere- and most of those occupants of the land weren't the brightest, or kindest. He'd run into many oddly kind folks who turned out to be psychotic sheep-skin collections. Trust him, they weren't the people you'd want to have a meal with.
So here Bane was, just sitting and waiting for some sort of miracle or form of transport- anything that could get him over that blasted ditch! If only he'd been gifted with wings!
what am I to do? I can't go back empty handed....they'll have a fit Bane frowned and unconsciously covered his eyes with his paws. He could feel those punishments clear as diamonds on the back of his neck already!! He'd have to find a way to get over and gather any sort of information- even if the information was just some stupid nonsense the Kingdom had had recently...
Bane sat up suddenly when he heard a crackling sound come from close by his person. It could have been nothing, just a bird- but hey, seeing as you could never really trust any sort of being in this world, it could have been someone with some bad intentions. Bane would just have to figure it out as he went along, but right now, he was just on the alert. Giving away his position seemed foolish, so he stayed very quiet, and made sure his lithe, furry body was concealed in shadows. He then waited to hear or see if anything or anyone came out in the open. He was on a hill yes, but it was not view-able from behind, and the only thing in front of him was the ditch, and to his sides were the tall trees- which served as good cover from whatever lurked among the forest.
