GENDER: Male
AGE: 30
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
THE ANIMAL HALF
SPECIES: Wolf
APPEARANCE:
Looking at his human counterpart often draws people to the wrongful conclusion that Conall ought be a feline of some sort. They could not be more wrong – when turning, he is an abnormally large wolf, displacing most other four-legged predators in sheer size alone, not to forget a certain intimidating factor. His coat is ashen black, almost as if he is constantly covered in dust or otherwise is set on remaining dirty.

THE HUMAN HALF
APPEARANCE:
When approached by Conall – as previously mentioned – a common feeling is that of being in the presence of a lion; tall, strong and endearingly elegant. Being as he is six feet and four inches, he supersedes the average and there are hardly any fat on this body at all – Conall is the owner of quite the muscle mass. His height and weight correlation makes him an imposing character, standing tall and leanly muscular. His eyes are a very deep red, sometimes coming off as a black in the right lighting. Owing to how he is out in any kind of weather, his skin is lightly tanned and clean, the development of facial stubble strictly seasonal. The hair topping his head is black in colour and soothingly short, enabling him to neglect it in the morning without suffering odder looks, thus fitting his general approach to the maintenance of his public face.
When out prowling or otherwise active, Conall will don solely leather breeches of a light brown colour, surrendering to comfortable, dilapidated black boots. When coverage is needed, he will put on a long, roomy white shirt, often fastened by a hapless leather belt. He is not adverse to no clothing whatsoever either, but for etiquette’s sake he conforms during social gatherings. Due his lifestyle, he has several scars all over his body. The most prominent one runs deep underneath his right eye from the start of the eyebrow, curving down alongside the bridge of the nose and following the line where a dark circle starts whenever he gets too little sleep, before it trails off toward his cheekbone.
All in all his is a very suave character, seemingly always relaxed and confident in his stride, and has a looming presence, both due to his height and his bred arrogance.

IN DEPTH COVERAGE
PERSONALITY:
Conall is definitely a ‘doer’, who lives in the world of action. A blunt, straight-forward risk-taker, he is willing to plunge right into things and get his hands dirty. He quickly decides what should be done, execute the action, and move on to the next thing. Whilst doing it, he will not pay any attention to what takes place around him and his goal – Conall is highly self-disciplined, and manages to shut out possible disturbances easily. It is only through this self-discipline he has learnt to partially control his blackouts, but sometimes they are too strong.
It is this violent side to his personality that is most often associated with him, where these short episodes of total anger blackouts cause him to lash out at whoever or whatever has provoked him, without a single thought to the consequences. From experience he has learn that removing himself from the situation altogether sooner rather than later is the wisest choice, thus preventing him from having the time to do anything he would later regret (or not, of course, depending on the seriousness of the offence). These incidents have become more frequent in number and severity since the War.
It does take a lot to truly get to his heart and capture it completely. Which is why he might present a somewhat distant image, with a kind of classical, near-Victorian dark allure that belongs in velveteen bedchambers and Shakespearean villains. While his ability to express his feelings is muted and more illustrated by gestures than by words and expressions, he is a passionate and amorous man who feels things deeply, both the agony and the bliss. Often he gives off the vibe that he is a flirt who beds many women, still whilst that does happen, he takes romance far more serious than most give him credit for.
Those who knew him prior to the War, knew him as a flirtatious and boastful individual; deadly yet loyal, a good friend and a terrifying fiend. If one managed to get past his initial aloofness, it was apparent Conall was a person with whom you could talk about anything, joke and play. After the loss, his personality has taken a turn towards brooding and bitter, suiting his otherworldly arrogance yet not meshing well with the camaraderie he used to muster. He does not play-pretend – what you see is what you get. He also has a sinister flair to his persona that comes to show in that crooked grins he gives, and the way he may eye a wounded member of another kingdom with almost irrational satisfaction. Some have labelled him ‘sporadically insane’, and they are not missing the mark entirely. This part of him has gotten worse.

BACKGROUND
HISTORY:
Conall was born at night, in human form, and a big one at that. That was a minor foreshadowing what his parents were concerned, and his size did not diminish with time. In his youth he was very playful, always testing the boundaries that were set forth, and there more than a few who were concerned this trait would not disappear with time. Luckily, one might say, he proved to at least grow up loyal. His way of testing the boundaries, however, he has not outgrown. One could partly blame this on rather hapless parenting; his parents were not together, but still lived in the same tribe and never seemed to be able to decide who where to take most care of him. As a result, he grew to the habit of demanding attention by either doing something reckless, stupid, deadly and/or all three. More often than once it was other members of the tribe who would have to step up and give the pup a scolding, and not everybody treated him kindly.
Despite his father not taking much interest in his son, Conall would never seize an opportunity to impress, and grew to become a solid warrior. His straight-forwardness and fearlessness would become his most valued traits, all the while with a sideways glance to see if his elder felt any pride for his offspring. One night, highly drunk, Conall confronted his father, demanding to know what was the problem, whilst also taking some time to mock how the old age was starting to set in. What he got back was aggression and a duel, which the youngest of the two won. He barely managed to stop himself from tearing his predecessor’s throat out, and ran into the woods as means of escaping the temptation.
In his rage, Conall stumbled upon two wolves of the Water tribe. Even though he was well aware he was not in his own territory, the Fire wolf needed but a second of pause before he pounced them both, knocking the male out cold. He then proceeded to murder the other, almost mimicking how a wolf would attack a deer. Getting his act together, Conall quickly decided to leave the unconscious one alone, after having inspected him somewhat for future recognition. Whether it was a self-destructive wish or not, he was quiet content with hopefully having created a permanent enemy for the future. Having fully satisfied his need for blood, the black wolf trotted back to his tribe after a quick swim in a nearby lake to wash away the worst of the red stains.
After this, he stopped talking to his father altogether, going as far as ignoring him on his deathbed. This made Conall feel horrible in retrospect, but he managed to lock those feelings away by focusing on the tasks at hand. He was ready to get his hands dirty on behalf of his tribe, regardless of what has happened in his past. Easily one of the strongest and most twisted of the Warriors, it was only his lack of interest in leadership that kept him from claiming an Alpha position early, much more content doing the dirty work by order or own initiative. When the war broke out, it was an historic event Conall had been anticipating for several years. Having honed his body and skills in advance, he was at his peak when the real fighting starting. Despite his best efforts, however, he could not do all by himself and when they retreated, his ego took a fantastic blow – if failure was happening, why was he not dead on the battlefield?
Since then, he has lost weight. Though still muscular he has grown noticeably leaner, unnaturally so, mirroring a personality alteration. Bitterness started brewing in him like the plague, and with the shifts in standings socially with the new kingdom forming, it was finally his time to step up to the task at hand. There were no rivals to the position of military head – none can surpass Conall in determination, will-power and loyalty to his former tribe Fire, and now to Caldo. He tolerates no failure, is harsh and straightforward, but still undeniably suited for the job.
